When you are learning to play guitar, one of the most important decisions that people face is whether they want to start learning with an electric guitar or a guitar acoustics. Both have different characteristics and sounds, and favor certain styles and genres of music over another. So how should one to do this choice between electric and acoustic? For some it may be obvious, but for others, there are some important factors to keep in mind that we will explore. Let start with electric guitars.

Electric guitars are used largely by rock music, and unlike acoustic guitars are very indulgent. This may be a good and a bad thing. I mean, excuse me, you can touch a chord of something bad, but with distortion and other effects can be achieved with electric guitars, it will be almost imperceptible. This is good because its sound is going to play much better, but bad in that it will be difficult for you to improve your skills guitar techniques. What you can not hear, can not be fixed. One of the really great things about electric guitars I mentioned yet is the ability adding distortion or other effects to your game. This allows a large number of different sounds that can be very fun to play. If you want to dance, you might want electric guitar.

Acoustic guitars are used in a number of different types of music, and can be very versatile in its own right. Acoustic Guitars are often used for blues, jazz, country, and even occasionally some rock. It's just a question of how to play. Acoustic guitars have a much more pure, forcing play notes and chords clean, thereby improving its ability to technical game. Once you begin to learn more chords and more efficient at harvest and strumming, you can start experimenting with how they sound. Do you strum hard, or softly, or play a couple of times, collecting some notes, then play a couple more. The key aspect of acoustic guitars to remember is that the notes ring clear, and it is not only a great resonance, but great for learning.

There is a third option you could consider, and it's getting an electric / acoustic. This is an acoustic guitar with an increase in pick-up to connect to a guitar amp. I have not personally used, but it's worth looking into if you're not sure what kind of guitar you want. The benefit of getting an acoustic guitar / is that you can switch to play any music. I think the sound quality is not as good as the normal guitar, acoustic or electric normal so you can sacrifice sound quality for versatility. Most end up learning guitar on an acoustic guitar, after passing an electric guitar, if they want to play some rock. In my opinion, this is the best way to learn, but if you just want to rock, then you know what to do.
