Is 22 years, a bad time to start taking guitar lessons?

I'm about to start guitar lessons, but I just wanted know if I am late to start a band or go solo as indie artist? How many months or years it takes just strum some chords and sing in a band or myself? Thank you very much!

Its all about motivation and how they look. Is 23 worse than 22? You're still very young and has his whole life to learn more and more. Regarding the time frame goes, it's up to his intensity. One or two hours a day will give you playing chords in a week, a month you will be putting the chords together into songs. I've seen people who have played in only 6 months into the solos and could not say that just started 6 months ago. The first two months are the most frustrating, but if you stick with it you can find a rewarding life long hobby.
