What size and type of acoustic guitar would be perfect?
I am 17 years, I have a skinny build and short to me … and my hands are smaller as well (if that helps with size). I'm looking to play a more indie style and types of popular music. Songs from The Decemberists, Matt Costa, Jack Johnson … giant wave … what kind of mellow sound. I think a guitar is around $ 300 and under would be good. But nothing too cheap. Thanks!
Acoustic guitars come in two basic styles: 1) The steel chains: most preferred by players who focus on back-up " and "chord" playing.Good for all types of music. Often played with a selection of finger, but the style of play can also be (very hard in the fingers to the strings of metal). 2) The nylon strings: Also known as "classic" is preferred by guitar players of "music classical "group of players and where the" melody "line is not the main interest of the player. style Finger – No pick-is a favored method. ropes are much easier on the fingers of steel strings and pick the players also do well with these strings. Like "steel string acoustic all type of music you can play with them. main sound difference: The steel strings produce a bright metallic sound preferred by "rock" players type music. Nylon rope produce deeper bass and smoother tend to favor players who sing. Major structural differences – Use of full size: Acoustic steel strings are slightly larger overall starting around 40 "long. nylon strings of the guitar are rarely more than 39" neck Review: steel string necks are narrower than the standard 2.1 "Neck, nylon string full size guitars.Chord most players tend to as the neck narrower, melody players for wider necks "length scale" considerations: For reference: one size guitar noise will have a "length scale" of approx. 25.6 "scale" length "is the distance of the strings between the nut (collar) and the upper saddle blank piece inserted into the bridge. The longer the "length scale, the larger the distance between the frets on the fingerboard. This is an important factor to consider for players with short finger length 9 = Low span of scale is very important issue for guitar players classical music which often requires fingers spans four frets away. Most dealers and guitar manufacturers listed as 7 / 8 or 3 / 4 or 1 / 2 sizes, but few long list of the scale. A 3 / 4 size guitar can have a 24 "scale length and a manufacturer of 3 / 4 size may be just 22.6 "Any buyer considering a smaller guitar must treat more than one manufacturer of instruments within the range to find theirprice the best fit for the gameplay. For about $ 300. price range is a few little-known guitar manufacturers and label that can fill your needs. At that price level insist on a solid top instrument. Laminate tops are "robust", but the sound was never better the difference in the solid top, which tend to improve with age. Good luck and enjoy what guitar you choose.
