What kind of acoustic guitar is right for me?
I really like the sound of the Hawaiian guitar, blues guitar, country guitar, and gypsy guitars (specifically Stefan Hahl). I am not able to buy lots of guitars, so I'd like a different. I like to experience with different genres, obviously, and music from different eras. I like to play mostly folk and blues in it. I want to try some of Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Nick Drake, but mostly write my own songs. I wonder if a union M20 would be good for that. There must be one who played guitar. A guitar room to be good?
The problem with that you go to a store and everything you try is just put the chains on some of them good, and besides, your just a beginner, and just know the difference. I would say a cheap parlor guitar is worthless. Only very expensive salon guitars are not good. But are great for Hawaiian, blues. Guitar slide action needs to increase regularly. blues fingerpicking and perhaps needs a little higher action than bluegrass. I do not think gypsy guitars sound different than any another guitar – except, of course, the older type with no holes for sound – that sound too trebly in my ears. I suggest a Dreadnaught – a Taylor, Guild, Martin. Are all guitars wonderful if you can afford. Dylan, Cash, Drake Dreadnaughts I think all game, or could have. I think you should get three guitars. A Dreadnaught with low action, a Dreadnaught with chains of medium / top action, and a lounge with medium strings.
