Why call new tune my acoustic guitar gear out of control?
I customized one of my acoustic guitars, made in China with real woods, to give a set of high quality Grover tuning gears on it. Now is kept in tune and sounds great, but there is a slight hum in the upper frets …. I wonder if the tension in the neck is different now.
As long as the nut and bridge are the same, that shouldn't happen. I've never heard of changing gears for adjusting tension in the neck to fix the buzz, get the saddle changed. get it done professionally, its a part you do not want ruin.
